Track and Field Finishes Strong at Foothills League Championship

Spartans Track and Field

The track & field teams had a quick turnaround after Saturday’s success at Jeffco Stadium, traveling to Lyons HS on Monday to compete in the first-ever Foothills League Championship.

The girls’ team placed fourth in the team standings (with only 6 girls competing). Jeda Welle becomes the first All-Conference track & field athlete in school history with her win in the 100m. Olivia Staab lowered her own 3200m record, running a 13:57.07.

The boys’ team also finished in fourth place, with some gutsy performances on tired legs.

The last meet of the season is this Friday, May 6 at All-City Stadium. Thank you for all of your support of these student-athletes this season. They did some amazing things without having access to facilities.
