Each week, members of the STEM Staff recognize their fellow teammates for the elements from the Formula for Character that they were exhibiting. Check out this week’s teachers that were honored.
Katie Phillips
Empathy
I love working alongside, Katie! She has been my lifesaver this year. She is able to step in and support my students and me on any given day (rain or shine). She shares resources and assessments as well as reminds me daily that learning, especially virtually, should still be fun! Thank you for being understanding and aware. We are so glad to have you a part of our STEM Family!
Ciara Ehlers
Empathy
Katie and Ciara have done a wonderful job caring for our virtual learners and making sure they receive high-quality instruction! They’ve built strong relationships with their students and are rockstars at STEM!

Michael Legg
Responsibility
Michael stepped up and researched solutions to a roadblock put in front of our fledgling athletics program. This was completely outside of his contracted role at STEM. Thank you!
Karen Adam
Responsibility
Karen does SO much for student government, announcements, and graduation above and beyond her actual job of helping kids with learning/testing challenges. She deserves a big shout-out for being the BEST human being EVERY DAY!
Michelle Gasser
Responsibility
Michelle killed it with PD today… mastering SBL, working with a subcommittee; enlisting all the wonderful teachers to present; mixing up the day; including CKH; working with the PTO for breakfast and lunch; literally the hardest worker I have ever worked with. Thank YOU, MICHELLE!
Kelly Paquette
Responsibility
Kelly is an amazing person to work with! She is always willing to help out, often going above and beyond to help support her team, while supporting our students, and families. She always has a kind word for everyone, and makes STEM a great place to be.
Stefani Wiley
Responsibility
We had the best End of Day Meeting by zooming with the author, Kevin Kurtz, which was possible all because of Mrs. Wiley! He shared his books, knowledge, and process to becoming an author. Our K-2 students fully enjoyed his books coming to life! Thank you Mrs. Wiley for taking responsibility and engaging our virtual students in this month’s “Love of Reading”.

Fifth-Grade Team
Respect
The 5th-grade team has been so generous and inclusive of our virtual program and their support is a huge part of what keeps this program in alignment with in-person students! Our students knowing that they are doing the same things as in-person students make them feel so included! THANK YOU.
